Job Title: Staff Project Controls Specialist
Location: Wallingford, Connecticut
Job Summary: We are seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls processes and support project management teams in delivering high-quality results. Our team values strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving to ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of project controls using industry-standard tools, including scheduling, cost reporting, and forecasting for multiple projects.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedules, and project execution plans, ensuring optimization of resources and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Support the preparation, review, and approval of purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders, and collaborate with the project and accounting teams to ensure accurate cost documentation and reporting.
- Perform schedule analysis utilizing critical path method techniques, provide schedule and cost management insights, and conduct field audits for compliance and accuracy.
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or applicable direct project controls experience in lieu of degree.
- At least 3 years of direct experience as a Staff Project Controls Specialist or in a similar project controls role.
- Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite; experience in analyzing and interpreting scheduling and cost data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
