Job Title: Sr Technical Consultant Casualty Claims – Auto
Location: Worcester, Massachusetts (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a pivotal role managing complex auto bodily injury claims. Our team is focused on delivering outstanding claims analysis, investigation, and resolution outcomes for both policyholders and business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of complex casualty claims, including issues related to coverage, liability, and damages.
- Manage all aspects of litigated cases, collaborating effectively with risk managers, agents, defense counsel, and vendors to achieve timely, cost-effective claim conclusions.
- Identify suspicious claims and develop strategic approaches for claims resolution, demonstrating technical expertise and critical thinking in high-complexity scenarios.
- Serve as a technical resource for adjusters, representing the company at mediations, arbitrations, and trials, and demonstrating strong written skills with positional coverage correspondence.
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience with an insurance carrier handling auto bodily injury or casualty claims (third-party administrator experience not considered).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; industry designation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively in challenging or disputed situations, while maintaining strong working relationships and professional communication.
- Proficient understanding of statutes, regulations, case law, and risk transfer concepts, with familiarity using MS Office tools and operating in a paperless environment.
