Role Focus & Responsibilities
- Support migration of legacy applications to a new platform
- Primary focus on UI/front-end development, with ability to self-serve on backend work as needed
- Work on financial tools within the finance application domain
- Partner closely with finance stakeholders, requiring strong communication with non-technical audiences
Responsibilities:
- Work at all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment, and support)
- Collaborate in engineering efforts to modernize and improve legacy architecture, designing innovative and efficient solutions.
- Build UI workflows to improve our users' experience and self-serve in case of blockers from the backend.
- Build and maintain robust integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
- Deliver robust solutions for our Content Finance partners that enable them to optimize their processes and operate more efficiently.
- Be flexible, open, and react fast to changing priorities and projects.
Requirements:
- UI & Frontend Expertise: A deep understanding of React and UI frameworks is required. 5+ years of experience.
- API Design: Proficiency in integrating and consuming GraphQL APIs and RESTful services. Experience with defining schemas, mutations, and field-level security policies.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Experience deploying and debugging applications in an AWS environment (EC2, S3, SQS).
- Communication is your strong suit: in code, in email, and face-to-face. Ability to talk and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiar with common AI tooling and leverages it to boost productivity and efficiency
Nice to Haves or Preferred Skills:
- Financial Accounting: Understanding of accounting principles. Familiarity with concepts like Capitalization, Amortization, General Ledger (GL), and Accounts Payable (AP).
