- 5+ years in relevant fields such as Content Classification, Content Moderation, Content Strategy, Standards & Practices
Position Overview:
- In this role, you will have to help apply maturity ratings to a rapidly growing catalog of content (e.g., films, TV shows, documentaries, etc). It will require an understanding of global maturity ratings requirements, critical thinking and analysis, operational aptitude, and clear communication. The work you do in this role will directly affect how our members decide what to watch. You will analyze internal and external information to determine the maturity ratings and content advisories for titles. The Ratings Policy Contractor will report to the Ratings Policy Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze titles for accurate maturity ratings, content advisories, and local sensitivities
- Collaborate with Ratings Policy Strategists and Leads to audit ratings and advisories
- Communicate ratings information and rationale to team leadership
- Support escalations related to ratings and advisories
Requirements:
- 5+ years in relevant fields such as Content Classification, Content Moderation, Content Strategy, Standards & Practices
- Strong judgment and decisiveness when dealing with timely, deadline-driven, content-related issues and concerns
- Ability to distinguish nuances within different content genres and how they impact maturity ratings
- Ability to master internal tools and systems successfully
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, global ratings boards’ standards and requirements
- Fluency in English required, other languages a significant plus.
- Fluency in Airtable, Google Sheets, or other data trackers and data management systems required
- Experience working with large data catalogs is a plus
